Walter Till

Walter Till (1880-1930) was an Impressionist and Modern artist.

Shortly after the Irish Civil War, Till was hired to create posters for the Great Southern Railways. The Railway Act of 1924 had consolidated all the railways operating within Ireland into GSR. Till's paintings were used for railway posters across Ireland, depicting some of the country's most scenic landscapes.
